*FANZINE
*This fanzine was created as a final project for the subject History of Design. The main objective was to compile all the theoretical knowledge imparted during the course into a cohesive and visually engaging format. Rather than presenting the information in a conventional booklet or report, I sought to integrate creativity and design principles into the project, reflecting the essence of the subject itself.
Drawing inspiration from the practical projects completed during the course, I developed a unique concept based on a layered design approach. The fanzine was crafted using four transparent acetate sheets, each representing a separate channel of the CMYK color model (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black). When these sheets are overlaid, they recreate the full-color design. This method not only adds a tactile and interactive quality to the fanzine but also serves as a visual metaphor for how individual elements combine to create a complete picture, much like the interplay of historical and theoretical concepts in design.
The purpose of this project is twofold. Firstly, it serves as a functional reference tool that organizes and preserves the course’s content in a format that is both easy to navigate and aesthetically pleasing. Secondly, the innovative design approach highlights the importance of process and methodology in design history, encouraging a deeper appreciation for the subject matter. This fanzine stands as both a creative artifact and a practical resource that can be revisited whenever needed for quick consultation or inspiration.
